Hiring Financial Secretary/Bookkeeper

Asbury United Methodist Church, Orange Park, Florida is seeking a new FINANCIAL SECRETARY/BOOKKEEPER. Applicants should be familiar with all aspects of bookkeeping, record maintenance, check disbursement, payroll and taxes The Financial Secretary will be responsible for the daily running of the church’s financial office and the accurate posting of all monies that are brought into the church or that are distributed through/by the church. He/She will be responsible for assuring that church funds are kept in a responsible and organized manner. He/She will work within the church policies, procedures, and internal controls established by the church and its guidelines. He/She will be accountable to the Administrative Board and its committees.

Qualifications:
High School or Business school graduate. 3 years experience in office/clerical: budget management/ bookkeeping. Familiarity with Excel, Word, Power Point, Church Windows and/or Quick Books and other multi media computer applications. Work amicably with individuals within the church and able to practice discretion, sensitivity and confidentiality. Able to demonstrate proficiency in reviewing/analyzing all reports necessary.
