What is “Hope Circle”? Hope Circle members meet the second Monday of every month to make crafts which they sell at craft fairs. On a weekly basis, the ladies also visit the homebound and church members who are in the hospital. It helps to brighten someone’s day when they receive the flowers that decorated the sanctuary on Sunday and are able to sit and visit with the Hope Circle ladies.
The money Hope Circle raises helps to fund some of the programs here at church, such as Vacation Bible School, church improvements and discretionary funds. Their biggest mission is The Clothes Closet which they support monthly. Many of the handmade crafts such as capes, lap robes and hats are donated to those in nursing homes and hospitals. The ladies also put together gift bags for the homebound every Christmas and various times throughout the year. Hope Circle is a very important ministry to Asbury United Methodist Church and outreach to the community.
Do you enjoy knitting, crocheting, making crafts? Or perhaps a girls night out is more your style. Whichever the case, Krafty Kritters is for you. We enjoy getting together for great fellowship, fun and learning. Some of our kritters are highly skilled in knitting and crocheting and are willing to teach you how, share tips, etc. We also make shawls, blankets and hats for Hospice patients and families.
